Description & Requirements

This position conducts software testing for globally developed Automotive Car Audio System. It will also help drive strategic direction for global testing strategy and specific development project test strategy. The position will work closely with Program Management, Engineering and customer to ensure proper test coverage in the most efficient manner possible.

What You Will Do

  • Conduct software test and validation for Car Audio projects.
  • Build and maintains automated test racks for system testing.
  • Support other regional test groups when required
  • Develop test strategies and plans in according business and product requirements
  • Apply specifications, user guides, use cases, comparable products, and previous known bugs to create and maintain test plans, test designs, and test cases.
  • Create automated test scripts using common scripting languages. 
  • Perform manual and automated software testing. 
  • Identify software issues and register problem issues into the Elvis system with valid log files and data. 
  • Record, process, and analyze data with PC based tools and test instrumentation.
  • Participate in internal and customer test drives.  Provides technical support for the resolution of the customer issues on an as needed basis. 
  • Build test environment like test benches and test vehicles appropriately.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering with 4 years related experience in Automotive, Electronics or Electromechanical Environment in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 4+ years of previous experience in test engineering or sw development in Automotive industry.
  • Working knowledge of functional and non-functional software testing, the Car Audio software test life cycle, and various
  • Working knowledge of Python programming language
  • Test design methodologies (function, performance, stress, load, risk-based, scenario, etc.,).
  • Driver license
  • Speaking, Writing and listening in English

What is Nice to Have

  • Working knowledge of Electronic circuit or mechanic.
  • Working knowledge of shell scripting or programming language (C#, CAPL)
  • Vehicle networking experience (CAN, LIN, MOST).
  • Software testing training (SQE, ISTQB, etc.,).
  • Manufacturing process discipline, car infotainment systems knowledge, Electronics/Software knowledge, ISO 14001 and TS 16949 policies

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel up to 30% domestic
  • Be willing to work in an office, manufacturing facility, client-site
