Job Description: Machine Learning Engineer - AIOps and GenAI

Education & Training

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Electronics & Communication/Electrical Engineering or in a relevant stream.

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on AIOps (Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations) and GenAI (General Artificial Intelligence) projects. As part of our Mercedes R&D India, you will play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge solutions that leverage machine learning to enhance automation and intelligence across our systems.

Skills

  • Proven experience (6+ years) in developing and deploying machine learning models in a production environment.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and familiarity with libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and serverless technologies (e.g., Lambda, Azure functions, cloud functions).
  • Knowledge of automation tools and techniques, and experience in integrating ML models into automated workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts and solutions to stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms for AIOps initiatives, aimed at automating and optimizing IT operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand business objectives, and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Research and experiment with new ML techniques, frameworks, and tools to improve system efficiency and performance.
  • Contribute to the GenAI project by developing algorithms and frameworks that enable generalized AI capabilities within our products.
  • Architect scalable and reliable ML pipelines that handle large volumes of data, ensuring robustness and accuracy.
  • Implement monitoring and evaluation strategies to measure model performance, identify issues, and iterate on improvements.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in machine learning, AI, and automation to continually enhance our technical capabilities.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior team members.
