About the role:

In the role as Director, Innovative Concepts you will define and drive the overall direction and strategy of the Global Innovative Concept department. Focus will be on implementing new innovative ideas driving reliable design & efficient testing.

You will work closely with key stakeholders across the Automotive organization ensuring alignment, engagement and commitment in utilizing the solutions generated by your team.

You will drive a team of 10-15 specialized senior architects and black belt engineers.

What You Will Do

  • Define and drive the vision, mission and roadmap of the Product Reliability Innovative Concept team
  • Provide Day-to-day leadership and expertise in Product Reliability processes, methodologies, and tools
  • Align initiatives / solutions across the Automotive organization on new ways to achieve a higher Product Reliability with more efficient and effective methods and tools resulting in less effort, lower cost and higher quality
  • Be a global Automotive ambassador for transitioning the Automotive Engineering in Design for Reliability culture 
  • Setup a process and mechanisms to ensure solutions on Product Reliability issues occurring in reliability testing and in field

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • 10+ years of Product Reliability leadership of global distributed teams 
  • 10+ years of experience in designing electronical products within the Automotive / Military industry
  • 7+ years of technical leadership experience with core reliability tools such as reliability allocation, reliability growth modelling, etc.
  • Experienced in efficient use of simulation tools and methods
  • Effective communication skills at all levels within the organization
  • Experience in Driving transformation and culture changes across a global organization is a plus.
  • Be willing to travel up to 30%, domestic and international travel.
