About the Role

As the Director, On Demand Experiences (ODE) - GPD-SaaP (Software as a Product) you will be a global leader who will direct and lead critical software-as-a-product development for on demand experiences – Premium Entry Audio (PEA), Experiences on Demand etc. You will be leading a global team of SW engineers, architects and managers to deliver ODE features as per plan.

Your Team

You will report to the Senior Director (SaaP). This position will have 10 to 20 team members. These direct reports will be architects, managers and SW developers based out of Bangalore India.

What You Will Do

· You will direct and lead a team of global managers, architects, and SW developers to deliver ODE features as per the roadmap.

· Develop and maintain the ODE strategy to ensure that SaaP ODE products offering is aligned to customer needs.

· This role is strategically critical for SaaP business success as ODE features are premium features.

· You will be a partner to other GPD teams, product strategy team and CBU teams to build a long-term relationship with the customers.

· You will be experienced leader with expert knowledge in audio technologies in the automotive industry

· A well-organized and self-directed individual who is “technology savvy” and a team player

· Must be able to work in a global matrixed organization and communicate with people at all levels of an organization

· Must be able to mentor other team members and have the ability to provide execution and technology leadership

· Create an environment of trust and openness in all decision making

· Ability to adapt to changing business and technology environments and pivot focus accordingly

· Ability to work in a collaborative manner with CPM stakeholders, external vendors and other internal groups

· Ability to apply critical thinking to take appropriate risk and timely decisions

· Drive self and team to achieve high quality results against internal or external standards of excellence

· Ability to fully comprehend the changing technology and business environment and take appropriate decisions in terms of development focus and resource optimization

What You Need

· A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Computer science, Electronics or Electrical

· 20+ years of overall SW experience

· 15+ within automotive domain with strong exposure to audio/DSP software technologies

· Good knowledge of Android SW stack

· Ability to work effectively within a global environment

· Excellent teaming skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels within organization, internally and externally

· Experience managing external customers/partners

· Problem solving, organizational and analytical skills

· Excellent written & verbal communication

What is Nice to Have

· Master’s or Ph.D. in Engineering

· 16+ years of overall experience

· Experience in technology strategy, people management, leadership development, employee relations, strategic planning

· Experience in customer engagement, defining technology roadmap
