About the role

The Operational Excellence team (OE) is a key stakeholder for Harman’s engineering and business community, offering various SW solutions, Automations, Tool integrations, maintenance, infrastructure, and support for our company’s toolchain.

The OE team is part of our DigITal IT – Software Excellence department - working mostly for the Automotive division and extendedly for the rest of our global divisions and users.

Our focus areas cover the Health & Hygiene of the application stack; Improving the user experience through automations / Bots & self-service; Technology consumerization; implementing industry best practices and KPI metrics publication.

Within our Global R&D team, you shall act as a SW tools administrator for the Project & Document Management tools. (Easy Planning, Project Online, SharePoint based applications)

You will be the interface between our internal customers and our toolchain, supporting end-users and administrating the software tools.

You will technically own the existing business processes tool (Budget/Business case/Time booking/Project planning) ensuring system data availability and business enablement. As a system administrator you will maintain the tools & services (where appropriate, in collaboration with tool vendors), plus the server infrastructure with our OE department.

You will own the tools related service desks and handle the Level 1 to Level 3 requests.

You will get to contribute to business requests, company objectives as well as team internal goals, offering you multiple opportunities to grow and become successful.

We’re looking for someone who owns it and can grow cross-functionally in other SW areas like: Task management, Source code repositories, FOSS, Reporting platforms, Defect Management, etc.

Support end-users to resolve L1 to L3 requests via service desks.

Training & consulting of stakeholders and user community in incorporating our tools.

Perform admin DB operations & scripting solutions.

Own and develop data analytics reporting solutions.

Integrate business processes customizations and roll-out.

What You Will Do

  • Implementation of processes or services, documentation, troubleshooting.

  • Analyze and specify customer requirements for solutions following testing.

  • Collaborate with the tool vendors for complex issue analysis, system maintenance, further developments.

  • Collaborate with Finance/Controlling department as one of the main customers.

  • Autonomously drive tools related tasks or projects. (where appropriate cross-teams)

  • Support the team planning process.

  • Perform SW testing for internal validations and assist customer acceptance tests.

What you need:

  • 4+ years’ hands-on experience as a tools/system administrator.

  • 4+ years’ experience with MSSQL; SQL Server Management Studio; Visual Studio.

  • Experience in developing and debugging SSIS & SSAS packages.

  • Knowledge of data schemes, Plug-Ins, Business Logics.

  • Experience in maintaining and rolling out business processes.

  • University degree in engineering. (Information Technology, Electrical engineering, or appropriate graduation)

  • Excellent English skills.
