About the Role

A Cube support engineer is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for the test benches. This may include setting up and configuring equipment, troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions, installing and upgrading software and hardware, documentation of certain processes. The Cube support engineer may also be responsible for maintaining inventory, researching suppliers of hardware, ordering supplies, as well as training and assisting other staff members in the use of laboratory equipment.

This role will report to Manager System Test and to Project Leader System Test

What You Will Do 

  • Provide technical support and maintenance for laboratory equipment and systems.

  • Provide SW configuration support and maintenance for different system components

  • Set up and configure equipment for new projects.

  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions or issues with equipment.

  • Install and upgrade software and hardware as needed.

  • Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.

  • Train and assist other staff members in using laboratory equipment.

  • Work closely with other engineers to ensure that equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.

  • Identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

  • Participate in continuous learning and professional development opportunities to stay up to date on new technologies and techniques in the field.

  • Testing new Software Releases for multiple ECUs

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other similar specialization 

  • At least 3-4 years of working experience

  • Experience with hardware and system debugging and faults resolution

  • Have a good understanding of the technical aspects of a wide range of equipment, including computers, software, and hardware.

  • Familiar with Jira, Confluence, MS Office, MS Excell, and database administration

  • Be proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

  • to install, configure, and maintain software and hardware

  • Familiarity with computer networking for setting up and maintaining network connections in the laboratory and should have a good understanding of computer networking principles and protocols.

  • Have a good understanding of electrical safety protocols to properly maintain and repair equipment and ensure the safety of laboratory staff.

  • Familiarity with industry-specific equipment: have familiarity with specialized equipment and systems specific to automotive industry, such as CAN, LIN, ECUs, etc. and infotainment systems: PCIe, UART, TDM, Video-, I2C, I2S, USB (appreciated)

  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines: A cube support engineer should be aware of relevant regulatory guidelines and standards and should ensure that the laboratory follows these guidelines.

  • Strong technical skills: have a good understanding of a variety of laboratory equipment and systems, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and repair issues that may arise.

  • Problem-solving skills: a Cube support engineer may encounter a variety of challenges in their work and should be able to think critically and creatively to find solutions.

  • Communication skills: you may need to interact with a diverse group of individuals, including other engineers, developers or other support staff. Strong communication skills will be important to effectively convey technical information and work collaboratively with others.

  • Organizational skills: you may be responsible for managing multiple tasks and projects at once and should be able to prioritize and stay organized to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.

  • Customer service skills: you may be called upon to assist other staff members with technical issues and should be able to provide prompt and helpful service to keep the laboratory running smoothly.

  • Knowledge of quality standards and regulations

  • System Testing experience is beneficial

  • Strong understanding of an Automotive System configuration

What Makes You Eligible

  • University degree in engineering (Electrical engineering, Information Technology or similar)

  • Be willing to travel up to 10%, domestic and international travel.

  • Ability to work from the office a minimum of 80% of the time.
