About the Role

The Test and Tooling Engineer is responsible for maintaining test equipment used in the Warranty Lab and exchange centers.  The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert on manufacturing test and software installation and provide support for the Warranty team. The ideal candidate will have overall responsibility for coordination of new project launches and maintaining the project until end of life.

What You Will Do

  • Maintain testers in the Warranty Lab and exchange centers to be up to date with latest testing software and hardware.
  • Deliver repeatable stable test processes to Warranty.
  • Troubleshoots functional issues and recommends corrective actions – drive field improvement.
  • Communicates complex technical issues to other teams and organizations.
  • Drive Best Practices and lessons learned from experience with internal teams.
  • Drive strategies in support of organizational, functional, and business goals.
  • Utilize product and process postmortems to drive preventative actions and process improvement plans.
  • Train support team to ensure downtime is minimized and yields are maximized.

What You Need

  • Minimum 5 + years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work.
  • Experience with building and testing computers or electronics systems.
  • Project management skills in planning, organizing, leading and controlling project progress and implementation.
  • Experience in working across different functional teams.
  • Understanding of process re-engineering/continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Understanding of Assembly manufacturing processes and supply chain.
  • Excellent presentation skills and written and verbal communication
  • Working knowledge of electronics test equipment (DMM, Osciloscope, RF Generators, Signal Generators, etc.) is mandatory.
  • Working knowledge of electronic circuits, electronic interfaces, audio processing, audio testing, etc. is mandatory.

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel up to 5%, domestic and international travel
  • This role is eligible to work remotely full-time with occasional trips into the MX or USA office location required (this could be on 24-hour notice)
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
