AT HARMAN, we believe that software will reshape the in-vehicle automotive experience for everyone, anywhere in the world. In this role you will define new automotive software product that will profitably address market gaps in our Intelligent Cockpit Platforms portfolio. You will be responsible for the short-term and long-term strategy to realize the product and profitability of HARMAN Intelligent Cockpit.


What You Will Do

We’re looking for someone who will be a key contributor on the team, making an impact in the following ways:  

  • Working with clients, partners, and HARMAN’s internal product development teams to help advance your product line.
  • Execute the business plan and product strategy as part of a multi-year product roadmap.
  • Define market-winning products that differentiate us from our competitors and increase our market share and expand our margins.
  • Deploy global GTM efforts across the end-to-end customer journey.
  • Conduct market intelligence and assess competitive positioning by comparing HARMAN’s portfolio to competitors' products and ecosystems.
  • Create build vs. buy vs. partner decision frameworks where applicable.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align visions and priorities, including both customer-facing and operational components.
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Global Support and Customer Success, as well as downstream dependencies in Finance, HR, Legal, etc.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in product management, with at least two years as a Senior Product Manager in automotive software.
  • Knowledge of global Cockpit and ADAS market and technology trends.
  • Product evangelist with an insatiable commitment to building meaningful products.
  • Experience creating compelling and differentiated product propositions based on market needs, customer segments, and technical feasibility, aligned to a product strategy.
  • Ability to manage and lead across highly cross-functional teams including Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Global Support and Customer Success.
  • Track record of successfully delivering technology products to market at scale, across global regions.
  • Ability to empower and lead a multi-functional team to solve sophisticated System/HW/SW integration challenges.
  • Strong communication skills including engaging senior management on strategic plans, leading project steering committees, status updates etc.
  • Proficient in English.

What is Nice to Have

  • An MBA.
  • Knowledge of German.
  • Knowledge of requirement engineering, and the design, implementation, and documentation of software components using modern software development flows.
