About the Role

As the Principal Software Architect, you will be a member of the Engineering/R&D software team working. You will be designing consumer audio software architecture/framework, collaborating with the team on the High-level design as well, to meet the business goals in terms of time, quality, and cost.

Your Team

You will be reporting to the Director, Engineering / R&D, Software.

What You Will Do

  • Keep track of the latest technological updates of Wi-Fi and other connectivity technology
  • Collaborate with other professionals efficiently and clearly to develop technical requirements for software systems or applications, especially Wi-Fi connectivity parts.
  • Work out the software architecture or high-level design with end-to-end solutions to meet product requirements.
  • Develop software, including but not limited to the Wi-Fi driver and related firmware.
  • Technical guidance to the team in software design。
  • Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility, certification, etc.
  • Leadership, Collaboration, Change Orientation, Judgement, and Results Driven are most critical to this role to achieve business targets.

What You Need

  • Bachelor's or master’s in computer science, Mathematics, Electronics Engineering, or relevant disciplines.
  • 10+ years of hands-on development experience in driver/middleware/application based on embedded Linux systems in the Consumer Electronic industry, proficient with programming C/C++.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in software architecture design of embedded systems in the consumer industry.
  • Well understanding of IEEE 802.11 family specification, and Wi-Fi4/5/6 technologies, deep know-how on Wi-Fi AP/P2/Station functions and profiles.
  • 3+ years of solid experience in Wi-Fi driver/firmware development, skillful debugging, and issue/performance analysis with wireless protocol analyzers.
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced and multitasking environment.

What is Nice to Have

  • Excellent knowledge of software design / architecture patterns.
  • Experience in the optimization of air-interface protocols to meet product requirements.
  • Experience with multi-radio coexistence management is a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of communication protocols between services, e.g., WebSocket, MQTT, Bonefish, etc.

  • Be willing to travel up to 20%, domestic and international travel.
