Description & Requirements

Responsible for managing the company’s engineering functions, maintenance and production activities to ensure the complete satisfaction of the internal and external clients, the maximum efficiency of the operation and minimizing production costs under the highest safety standards.

Responsible for the results of the indicators: Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. The team leader must apply the HPS philosophy. Develop Harman skills on employees.

What You Will Do

  • Participates in the planning, approval, review and implementation process of strategies and policies regarding general manufacturing.
  • Participate on rising engagement between the corporation and the plant management to establish the necessary interaction to achieve both individual goals and objectives.
  • Participate and provides support related with environmental, Health and Safety objectives, targets and programs.
  • Has the authority to stop a process or activity, or give coaching if it detects unsafe or acts conditions, that could put at risk the integrity and health of a worker and environment.
  • Review strategies to accomplish indicators (SQDC) follow-ups daily, weekly and monthly reviews.
  • Review the production plans to evaluate shipment risks for the customer.
  • Supervises and Coordinates the Activities of Subordinates to facilitate the Implementation and Operation of the Company’s Systems.
  • Provides assistance using Statistical and Engineering techniques and tools such as: SPC, DOE, FMEA, TQM, TPM JIT, for process control and continuous improvements.
  • Authorizes Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of the Quality Systems.
  • Directs Engineering, maintenance and production Personnel in projects administration, designs, cost estimates and specifications.
  • Supervises or Conducts Investigations and Special Studies to evaluate the efficiency of the Engineering, Maintenance and Production Programs.
  • Participates as champion in the Development and the Implementation of new Products.
  • Interacts with the following Department: Quality to Improve Reliability and to Reduce Costs of current Products.
  • Owner of standard work in the manufacturing process (work instructions, standards, capacity analysis for production lines and equipment, lay out control).
  • Maintains the latest product changes in drawings and red lines. Maintains the deviation and CN’s database current.
  • Responsible of the equipment availability to support production plans to cover product demand from customers.
  • Responsible for Selecting, Training, Motivating, Developing and acting as a Facilitator to the Operations Staff. Also Responsible for Promoting and Maintaining Interdepartmental harmony.
  • Formulates, Negotiates and Manages the Department’s Objectives and Budgets, as well as the Strategies and Action Plans to achieve those Objectives.
  • Identifying and highlighting plant wide areas of opportunity to improve Plant performance.
  • Excellent leadership, people management, communication and influencing skills at a senior, plant staff and all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to identified and generate strategic targets with his/her team to consistently improve processes.

What You Need

  • Bachelor degree of Engineering or equivalent.
  • 10 years of related experience in manufacturing areas (engineering, production, maintenance and facilities)
  • 7 – 10 years’ experience as manager
  • Computers Skills (Excel )
  • Experience in the automotive industry and/or electronics is a plus
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
  • English required – Full professional proficiency
  • System/software:         Proficient Office, MRP / SAP
  • 5 years of prior experience in budget management.
  • Master degree (preferably)
