About the Role

The Professional Solutions SBU, India requires a competent operations expert to become its Senior Manager, Operations. The position will lead the pre-sales application engineering, post sales service and technical support and the supply chain team in India. He/she is required to work within a matrix organization and will have to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and provide technical expertise to support business to achieve their objectives

What You Will Do

  • To lead the drive the performance of India Supply chain team managing forecasting, demand planning, logistics and inventory management
  • To lead and drive the performance of the India Post-sales technical support team in supporting the entire HARMAN customer base on first line support throughout the region including audio, video & control and lighting product portfolio
  • Manage the technical service operations in providing technical support and product repair services to our distributors/customers in India, including management of spare parts warehouse.
  • Manage the India Pre-Sales Application team in supporting our partners and system integrators to design  and offer world class Audio Video and Lighting Solutions
  • Ensure alignment with global approach in technical and customer service management and foster a customer-oriented approach for serviceability of our products and services for the India region.
  • To be a core interface to product life-cycle management, supplier quality, customer service, logistics and other relevant functions within the organization.
  • Support global initiatives in setting up standard operating procedures, defining service requirements for new and existing products, participating in engineering product development projects etc.
  • Develop and apply technical standards and procedures and provides advice on issues with the technical support team.
  • Own end-users and channel partners’ technical escalation back to HARMAN APAC

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering desirable.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and effectively present/articulate advanced HARMAN Audio, Video and Lighting solutions
  • Experience in managing operations in a multinational company of a similar nature is a must
  • Financial acumen to understand the function and how it relates to the overall P&L
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
    • Excellent stakeholders’ management skills
    • Advanced proven skills in deploying and administrating customer service system
    • In-depth understanding of business functions and roles, their interdependency and requirements.
