About the Role

In this role you will support in overseeing the accounting processes, controls, and the financial reporting globally to ensure compliance. 

Your Team

This position reports to the Senior Director, Corp Accounting and will have 1-2 direct reports

What You Will Do

  • Ownership of corporate accounting month-end close, including overseeing the incentive plan accounting and review of reconciliations and journal entries

  • Assist with the preparation and review of financial reporting requirements.

  • Interact with subsidiaries and other corporate departments to coordinate the timing and the contents of all deliverables.

  • Technical accounting consultation and resolution of complex accounting transactions, including inventory and cost accounting related topics, leases, pensions, and restructuring transactions

  • Ensure that the Company has put in place and continues to have an effective internal control environment

  • Interface with Internal/ External audit

  • Remain current with the latest developments in accounting and financial reporting.

  • Implementation of new accounting standards including issuance and updating of corporate accounting policies and procedures

  • Assist in training regarding technical accounting matters.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

  • 8+ years of progressive experience working with fast paced global organizations with experience resolving and documenting complex technical accounting transactions, preparing and reviewing financial reporting documents and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls policies. 

  • CPA certification

  • Demonstrates highly developed organizational, writing and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated track record of working under deadlines in a fast paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and accomplishing objectives

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, be proactive, take the initiative, be a self-starter, and frequently exceeds expectations and delivers outstanding results

  • Demonstrated ability to function at varied levels including “hands-on” detail work and higher level strategic thinking along with the ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with others, inspire high performance, promote collegial open communication and obtain “buy in” from others across the organization 

  • Prioritizes organizational interests and understands and analyzes impacts of actions to the business with a demonstrated ability of  proactive and forward thinking including looking for opportunities and continuous improvements for the business.

  • Possesses excellent data analysis skills and attention to detail to grasp complex situations with changing circumstances to develop well-reasoned solutions to get the job done while balancing risks.

  • Assumes ownership, control and accountability for all areas of responsibility and commitments made to others. 

What is Nice to Have

  • Public Accounting (Big 4 preferred) with a combination of Corporate Accounting experience strongly desired

  • IFRS experience strongly desired

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel up to 10% of the time.

  • Be willing to work 3 to 5 times a month in an office in hybrid model based in Stamford, CT

Pay Transparency
USD 135,750 - USD 199,100

Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation are also available, such as bonuses or commission.

Pay is based on a wide range of factors, including, without limitation, skill set, experience, training, location, and business need. While the above range is a reasonable estimate of the wage range for this position, please note the disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographical differential associated with the location where the position may be filled.
