Description & Requirements

Position Summary: Briefly describe the primary purpose and function of this position.

The candidate shall be responsible for the development and delivery of Ignite (Product) solution to a customer. The job entails planning & tracking tasks for the project and management of dev-resources in order to achieve timely delivery of solution to customer. The job can include interfacing directly with the customer’s technical team(s).

Primary responsibilities:

  • Candidate shall be responsible for high/low level design as per the assigned feature.
  • Candidate shall be responsible for technical code delivery to a specific Ignite customer from inception through completion.
  • Candidate shall be responsible to interface with internal/external leads
  • Candidate shall be responsible for the peer code review
  • Candidate shall drive the Delivery and Integraton phases and proactive on interfacing with required stack holder(s) to avoid any delivery impact.
  • Candidate shall be a very strong Core JAVA developer with clear concepts of Object Oriented programming and strong design skills.
  • Candidate shall be familiar with development and CI/CD tools such as Eclipse, Jenkins, Static analysis tools & test coverage tools like SonarQube, Maven, Git/Gerrit, SVN 
  • Candidate shall be familiar with development of REST APIs and Microservices
  • Candidate shall be familiar with use of no-sql databases such as MongoDB etc
  • Candidate shall be familiar with Spring, Springboot.
  • Candidate should be familiar with cloud based (Preferably AWS) architecture and deployments.
  • Candidates with experience in Big Data and Analytics platforms especially that use frameworks like Kafka, MQTT etc would be preferred

Add on responsibilities:

  • Candidate shall be responsible for created a detailed WBS for each release and tracking the tasks outlined for each release
  • Candidate shall be responsible for managing the resources in the team and assigning tasks to the resources from the WBS
  • Candidate shall be responsible for ensuring adherence to agile processes in their management scope and collection of metrics that determine the health index of the program.

Basic Qualifications: List the minimum and desired education (including degrees, licenses, certification or registrations) and experience needed to perform the key responsibilities of the position.

  • Candidate should have minimum of 8 years experience in relevant domain with minimum of 3 years of experience in backend cloud applications.
  • Candidate should be a B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech or equivalent
  • Candidate’s primary domain of expertise should be Cloud based applications & Enterprise scale applications
  • Candidate should be familiar with deployments on atleast one cloud platform like AWS, Azure or Ali Cloud. AWS experience would be a plus

Preferred Qualifications & Desired Competencies: Please list the preferred qualifications and ideal behaviors needed for this position based on the following:

  • Candidate should have expertise in the domain of backend cloud based JAVA applications
  • Candidate should have experience with applications developed using Core JAVA and frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Sprinboot, Web servers like Tomcat
  • Candidate should be familiar with Microservices architecture and deployment of REST based APIs for use by 3rd party applications.
  • Candidate should have worked on or managed projects developing highly scalable and resilient enterprise level applications.
  •  Candidate should be familiar with configuration management, development & test environments used for development of JAVA based applications.
  • Candidate should have worked in programs where applications are deployed in Cloud infrastructure.
