About the Role

As Senior Software quality assurance engineer, he/she will be responsible for software test in the full software development life cycle of product/platform, which support from internal team members and/or external suppliers, working in test plan, test analysis, test design, and execution to ensure the software product quality and compliance.

Your Team

This position as Sr. Software Quality Assurance Engineer will report to SQA team lead in software engineering /R&D.

What You Will Do

  • Review the requirement specifications since the project kick-off.
  • Test requirement analysis as per product requirements and software requirements and 3rd party technology specification, create reasonable test strategy.
  • Test design as per input specifications, create the test cases including the test environment configuration.
  • Make testing plans as per the input specification and product development timeline.
  • Test execution with internal and internal teams as per test plan, communicate the issues to internal team and 3rd technology partners to make sure issues are addressed on time.
  • Support improvement in the SQA process, keep exploring the new testing techniques and tools, and share with the team, to improve the productivity and effectiveness of software testing.

What You Need

  • Bachelor or above in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science or relevant disciplines
  • Hands-on experience in SW verification in CE, and experience in Google/Amazon AI or Audio products will be preferred.
  • High competencies in test analysis, design and planning, with working experience approved.
  • Skillful Linux operation, Linux shell scripts, and adb tool; Good knowledge on protocols of wifi/ Bluetooth is preferred, and familiar with sniff tool to capture the air logs.
  • Much familiar with SCM tools, like Jira/Jenkins/Confluence
  • Understand software development lifecycle, and software testing methodology.

What is Nice to Have

  • Have experience of automation test scripts and tools usage.
  • Have scrum projects experience.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally 5% of the time.
  • Willingness to work in an office in Mountain View, CA.
  • Successfully able to complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
