Description & Requirements

Position Summary:

Principal Engineer responsible for ADAS software development, integration into Digital cockpit system/High-performance compute node.

Responsible for SW implementation of the planning, perception, vehicle motion control, stack to enable ADAS features, e.g., Adaptive Cruise Control, Parking Assist.

Job Title:  Principal Engineer, SW

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with ADAS architects to define and implement the SoTA algorithms for vehicle Motion Control algorithms.
  • Work cross-functionally with perception engineers, control engineers, systems engineers, validation engineers, and other experts to ensure the software meets the requirements needed for ADAS features such as Adaptive Cruise Control.
  • Implement and optimize the algorithms for RTOS environment and enable real-time deployment on embedded automotive platforms.
  • Create software requirements, design documentation, test plans, and other supporting documentation.
  • Develop an efficient path planning software architecture enabling scalability, performance, efficiency, and robustness.
  • Contribute to all phases of the software development cycle including prototyping, requirements capture, design, implementation, and validation.

Skills Required:

  • 10+ bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Professional experience in motion planning algorithms.
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in C and C++.
  • Knowledge and experience in embedded RTOS programming.
  • Experience with existing ADAS technologies, including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-following, automated lane changing.
  • Experience developing highly available mission-critical software.
  • Experience with simulation tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
