About the Role:

The Functional Safety (FUSA) Engineer is responsible for the functional safety engineering definition and technical excellence of a Infotainment, Cockpit-Cluster, ADAS etc products across the entire project development lifecycle in accordance with ISO26262.

The FUSA engineer will act as safety analyst, reviewer and approver for the accommodated technical safety work products. Being part of global FUSA team, the FUSA engineer will support in FUSA requirements in new project for achieving: RFI/RFQ related, safety analysis, Support in design development, safety analysis and testing activities

What You Will Do:

  • Act as an interface between the Project Functional Safety Manager and the Technical Leads
  • Member of the safety core teams of different projects
  • Support the Functional Safety Manager to develop different work products which contain technical information
  • Support the Project team to understand and implement the safety plan
  • Develop and maintain the safety analysis in the project
  • Develop the verification strategy for the safety concepts
  • Create and maintain the requirements specification for the safety concept
  • Implement the tool qualification process in the project
  • Support evaluation of customer change requests which have an impact on the functional safety compliance of the project

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Systems, Computer, or Software Engineering required.
  • At least 5+ years of provable experience with ISO 26262 or other standards for functional safety.
  • Experience with standards for Quality Management Systems (e.g.: ASPICE 2.x or 3.x)
  • Experience with automotive software, hardware and system development
  • Experience with safety analysis (e.g.: FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, HAZOP, CCFA, DFA)
  • Experience with semi-formal notations for design (e.g.: UML, SysML, etc.)
  • Experience with requirements engineering and tools for requirements (e.g.: IBM DNG, IBM Doors)
  • Experience with RTOS, AUTOSAR and different communication protocols
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong skills in communication, presentation and problem solving
