Principal Engineer II - Android Wi-Fi GG12B

About the Role:

  • As a Principal Android Wi-Fi Engineer, responsible for developing Android Wi-Fi Applications in Infotainment system and the delivery of the software for software Integration
  • You will analyze specifications, develop high level design, maintain traceability, review unit level code, and document the work on Harman product(s).

What You Will Do:

  • Design & development of Automotive ANDROID connectivity (Wi-Fi/Telephony) framework and stack.
  • Primarily responsible for technical ownership of Harman connectivity protocols Android Platforms.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in Android Framework development and ANDROID connectivity (Wi-Fi/Telephony) framework and stack.
  • Good knowledge on Android system, components & Android middleware
  • Strong in native C/C++ programming

Desired Competencies:

  • Worked on the Automotive Connectivity(WiFi) Domain which includes working & integrating various chip vendor solutions.
  • Should have good understanding of various Wi-Fi protocols and profile specifications
  • Should have good understanding of Wi-Fi Tools.
  • Understanding of  802.11 standards, 802.1X, 802.11i, WPS and WiFi Direct protocols.
  • Excellent programming skills in C & C++ & Java
  • Strong familiarity and working knowledge with various Android versions.
  • Experience in analyzing air sniffer logs and resolving issues at the protocol level.
