About the Role

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for growing Harman’s automotive business to meet customer specific booking targets. You will engage with the customer in an early stage to create business opportunities and drive these opportunities with healthy commercials to award.

What You Will Do

  • Execute the pursuit strategy for new business opportunities in alignment with the customer account strategy.
  • Identify and create new pursuits and drive early engagement activities including “war gaming” and 10 standards.
  • Own RFI/RFQ response for new business opportunities and be responsible for the quote as well as for commercial sourcing negotiations with the customer.
  • Create game-changing unique selling proposition and value statements.
  • Understand customer expectations (cost, requirements, timing) and define internal targets to meet them.
  • Identify key stakeholders and decision makers and develop strategies to win new business.
  • Customer engagement up to management level.
  • by mutual communication with customer.
  • Building/executing the customer-fit strategy.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of related sales experience and at least 3 years in Automotive.
  • Basic automotive engineering skillset.
  • Thorough understanding of P&L statements, business cases and quotes / contracts.
  • Strong hunting and negotiation skills.
  • Strong English with effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Pro-active, Independent driver.
  • Strategic thinking.

What is Nice to Have

  • Understanding of Automotive OEM’s organization and processes.
  • Experience within or working with multiple J-OEMs.

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel up to 50%+, domestic and international travel.
  • Be willing to work remotely full-time with occasional trips into the Nagoya/Ariake/Akihabara office location required (this could be on 24-hour notice).
  • Successfully complete a background investigation/Aptitude Test as a condition of employment.
