You will join our Online Sales (E-commerce) department based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands in the position of: 

In-stock Specialist Amazon

About the Role:

The online strategic account team – Amazon – is an ambitious and motivated team of eight which covers sales, operations, performance marketing, data analysis and merchandising.

As the In-stock Specialist, you will be responsible for executing inventory and demand planning strategies to optimize customer experience, sell-out, netPPM at the various stages of the product life-cycle. You will be relentlessly focused on delivering high confirmation-rate and forecast accuracy in order to lower out-of-stock rate (ROOS) and leverage multiple supply-chain models.

You will communicate effectively across teams and levels, not only sales and marketing, but also supply chain team (pre-purchase) and customer care team (post purchase). In your new role, you will also work with AVS team at Amazon and the supply-chain Amazon programs counterparts. This position requires a candidate with proven analytical skills with experience driving process improvement, thought leadership, and delivering results.

What You Will Do:

  • Plan and execute inventory strategies to optimize sales, in-stock rates, inventory turns and health for owned category.

  • Analyze and manage own key performance indicators such as in-stock rate, demand forecast accuracy, procurement lead time, fill rate, and inventory turns.

  • Develop and enhance SCM systems by cooperating and reviewing with system teams.

  • Forecast and manage efficient inbound and outbound inventory flows and health including forecasting, purchasing, and removing unproductive inventory.

  • forecast accordingly to several business models Harman is having business with Amazon, creating a demand plan which is taking into consideration several lead times.

  • Perform business analysis to identify business opportunities to improve revenue and profitability and to Convert budget and sell out expectations into forecast and inventory estimations.

  • Conduct monthly forecast maintenance, making sure demand plan is always in line with latest sell out development.

  • Create replenishment plans for run-rate and promotional sell-out on a weekly basis.

  • Develop demand forecast at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons by continuously benchmarking sales forecast quantities.

  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s to Master’s degree in the functional area, with a strong analytical mindset.

  • At least 2-3 years’ forecasting experience combined with business knowledge in the Ecommerce space.

  • Experience with Amazon or pure-player is a preferred qualification.

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office and Excel.

  • Organizational, decision-making and presentation skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective interactions with internal stakeholders.

  • Be willing to work (flex policy) in an office in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
