About the Role

The Program Manager is responsible for leading a diverse portfolio of global large complex technology-centric projects. He/she has responsibility to oversee all project work being performed by the team and working with divisional stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements and commitment on deliverables, understand challenges and coordinate activities.
 

Your Team
This role is an individual contributor that is part of the Governance, Compliance, PMO and OC&T team within the Global HR Technology Team.

What You Will Do

  • Simultaneously manage multiple complex technology-centric global projects in accordance with the mission and goals of the HR Technology organization.
  • Lead initiatives in data and analytics delivery team and be the liaison between business, development/implementation teams, and stakeholders. The individual will demonstrate leadership and flexibility, as well as the ability to build rapport with teams to understand and deliver desired outcomes.
  • Interface with all levels of management and staff to provide strategic and tactical advice on project planning and execution and keep management informed.
  • Utilize best practice project methodology (Solution Delivery Lifecycle Methodology) and PMO procedures. Assembles project team, identifies needed resources, assign responsibilities, and develops timeframes to facilitate successful completion of project activities and deliverables. Build and manage the end-to-end project plan, and monitor/report progress. Effectively manage scope and dependencies. Identify risks and issues and proactively resolve/mitigate them. Ensure that the project is delivered to time, cost, and quality.
  • Ensure that business outcomes are defined, approved, and delivered. Proficient with benefits realization, and ensure that benefits are delivered in the best way possible
  • Budget based on the scope of work and resource requirements, and track project costs to meet budget.
  • Communication plans to ensure various stakeholders are kept up to date about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
  • Provide hands-on support throughout the project, from utilizing technical system knowledge, process capabilities and problem solving to ensure smooth and successful implementations.
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution.
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Coach and mentor to colleagues and team members

What You Need

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Ten or more years of experience running IT / HR related projects.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and simultaneously manage multiple projects with potential conflicting priorities and business interests.
  • Excellent communication, strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Experience applying data and analytics knowledge of key design principles, methodologies, tools, and high-level architectures. Familiar with data processing, management, and visualization tools
  • Experience with all aspects of software development lifecycle and one or more project management methodologies (for example, Agile, Waterfall). Knowledge of IT system concepts and how they impact business processes.
  • Workday experience is preferred.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft office, Excel, PowerPoint, Project software

What is Nice to Have

  • Project Management Institute (PMI), Project Management or Professional (PMP) certification, Agile Practitioner or Leader Certification.
  • Strong business acumen, industry/domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business units. Preferred to have HR systems focused project experience.
  • Program management skills and experience. Well versed in Change Management and Release Management Processes
  • Experience of working to introduce agile/SCRUM into organizations.
