About the Role:

This role is going to lead on Subject Matter Expert (SME) team in EU, to bridge the GPD development sites into and out of the EU regions. The SME team is to guide, review, advise GPD development, and to interface to EU customers on escalation, complicated technical discussion and to support deep technical support to customers. This role is also to lead the SME team to work on Advanced Development Projects (ADP) development, which is going to be near future (2-3 years) customer technical trends.

What You Will Do:

  • Tracking SME team in design review milestones during project development phase to ensure the deliverables according to project timing
  • Tracking SME team in supporting customer escalation or detailed technical discussion
  • Driving re-use – be an advocate with Customer Group for how platforms/core designs can be re-used in customer proposals rather than creating a unique solution to each customer product in concept freeze meetings
  • Managing SME team workload allocation to have the right focus on customer and GPD side
  • Leading on Advance Development Programs (ADP) in SME team, which is going to be technical trends from customer in regions in next 2-3 years
  • Working with GPM and Platform team together, be involved in new platform product development lifecycle
  • Synergizing and collaborating with SME team in EU to share the technology trends on global base
  • Maturing EU SME team technical skill sets on overall program level with benchmarking from Novi SME team

What You Need

  • Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • Leadership skills for expertise team and coordinating with GPD development team
  • Familiar with the audio electronics embedded SW/HW/ME design, experienced for these dedicated domains at least 10 years
  • Familiar with automotive development lifecycle process, key customer process and Harman Car Audio development process
  • Willing to work with global team, good communicator to customer and internal teams
  • Having experience developing products using Platform architecture, components, and tools
  • Experience development process for ASPICE compliant
  • Good level for English

  • Automotive requirement and procedures (APQP / PPAP)
  • Experience working with PLM and PDM systems
  • Experience working with EU automotive OEMs, Audio Engineering
  • Customer / supplier negotiations and interfaces
  • New product launches and quality support
  • Experience working with global teams

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel up to 15%, domestic/international to customer design home room and few international travels to China and India
  • Be willing to work in customer region
