About the Role

In this role, you will lead the team of RFQ PMs directly reporting to you as well as a team of dotted-line cross-functional teams.  The RFQ teams will be responsible to follow Harman processes and best practices for RFQ development.  As the team leader you will be responsible to ensure all RFQs are executed to highest quality and regularly report status.

Your Team

You will have a team of 3-5 PMs globally directly reporting to you.

What You Will Do

  • Lead a team of PMs, architects, and engineers that execute RFQs for Car Audio. You will occasionally directly project manager the execution of RFQs as well, depending on team bandwidth.
  • Ensuring proper training, performance management, and continuous improvement of the performance of the team.
  • Ensure RFQ reviews are executed with expected quality levels (e.g. Concept Reviews, GRO reviews, etc).
  • Develop and maintain processes for RFQ execution, working with the GAP team, and CAM teams to continuously improve the process.
  • Ensure the RFQ teams are leveraging products and platform components aligned with portfolio strategy and the CBU win strategy.
  • Create and maintain dashboards for executive review of RFQ status, showing pertinent KPIs and consistent tracking.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering
  • 10+ years of industry-related experience
  • Fundamental knowledge of Program Management processes in project estimation, execution, and process implementation.
  • Excellent organizational skills and comfort with detailed information, including financial, technical tasks and workstreams, and deliverables/action items.
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail.
  • In-depth understanding of all the supporting business functions and principles.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills to have effective communication to all levels of the organization.
