Description & Requirements



  • Overall responsible person for management of external and internal Customer Change Requests (CCR/ICR, incl. CRs from HW Qualification, Production) as a process owner in a project, reporting to PM
  • First point of contact for stakeholders (e.g. PM, SW PM, System Architects, Functional/Product Owner, Controlling, Sales, Customer) regarding CCR/ICR Management
  • Representation of CCR/ICR Management in process reviews (e.g. MGTL reviews, PCC, ASPICE, IATF16949, etc.)

Process definition

  • Definition of CCR/ICR Management Process strategy within project, aligned to project specific process requirements
  • Tailoring of CCR/ICR Management process based on project constraints and priorities
  • Definition and configuration of CR templates (e.g. for evaluation, approval, offer)


  • Definition of involved roles for evaluation and approval of CCRs/ICRs

Tooling + Training

  • Setup and ensure maintenance of CRM infrastructure (e.g. CR and requirements management tool) for the project
  • Organization and execution of CCR/ICR Management process trainings
  • Support and coaching on CCR/ICR Management process and tooling questions

Process execution

  • Definition and roll out of the CCR/ICR Management process plan
  • Ensure availability of change request documents for relevant stakeholders in then defined tool
  • Ensure availability of referenced documents (GCSR, ISOs, Norms, Standards,...)
  • Change request information exchange with the customer and other project stakeholders
  • Ensure clarification of CCR/ICR requirements if needed (contradicting, insufficient requirements that demand clarifications)
  • Monitor and ensure CR evaluation
  • Consolidation of evaluations and creation of summary as input for offer or approval document
  • Preparation, moderation and follow up of eCCB/iCCB meetings
  • Ensure data consistency and maintenance in the CCR/ICR Management tools
  • Measuring, tracking and reporting of process performance based on defined KPIs (e.g. evaluation, approvals)
  • Creation of consolidated overviews for project management (e.g. PM and Team 1)
  • Requirements Management support regarding CRs according to tailored CCR/ICR process 


  • Decide on process tailoring following PM guidance
  • Create and tailor the project specific CRM processes
  • Train the team on CRM process and tooling
  • Administer the CRM infrastructure
  • Create the CR in the CR tool and update it if needed
  • Plan and request reviews for CR evaluation
  • Request CR evaluation from project team
  • Create the final CR offer on request or on behalf of sales
  • Organize Change Control Boards (CCB) internally or with customer


  • Driving the change process in the change tool
  • Providing Change status and summary information to PM and Team 1 as needed


  • Experience with Harman project management and familiar with BMS (PLM)
  • Experience in technical areas (HW, SW, ME, Quality, etc.)
  • Experience in project and change management
  • Capability to evaluate complex systems
  • Decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of requirements management rules and tools
  • Knowledge of configuration management rules and tools
  • Knowledge of risk management methodologies
  • Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE®)
  • Knowledge of Automotive Functional Safety (ISO 26262)
  • Communication and moderation skills
