Description & Requirements

Responsibilities:

Protocol Development and Implementation:

  • Design, Develop and implement communication protocols for automotive networking systems with focus on Data Distribution Service(DDS) protocol.

  • Design, Develop and implement common framework for Remote procedure calls, publish - subscribe mechanisms on top of the communication protocols.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate communication protocols into the overall vehicle architecture.

System Integration:

  • Work closely with hardware and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of communication protocols within the automotive network infrastructure.

  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability with existing and emerging technologies.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to protocol implementation and interoperability.

Performance Optimization:

  • Optimize communication protocols for efficiency, reliability, and low-latency performance in the automotive environment.

  • Conduct performance testing and analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements accordingly.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement and adhere to automotive industry standards and protocols for data security and privacy.

  • Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to identify and address vulnerabilities in communication protocols.

Documentation and Training:

  • Create detailed technical documentation for implemented communication protocols, ensuring comprehensive knowledge transfer within the team.

  • Provide training and support to internal teams on the implementation and usage of communication protocols.

Research and Innovation:

  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in automotive networking technologies and communication protocols.

  • Contribute to research and Innovation efforts to enhance the capabilities of communication systems in future vehicle architectures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in automotive networking with a focus on communication protocols like DDS, SOME/IP, and others.

  • Proven experience in implementation of DDS protocol like RTI Connext, Swift DDS, Cyclone DDS, Open DDS etc. 

  • Strong programming skills in languages such as C, C++, and Java. 

  • Experience in using design tools such Enterprise Architect or Rhapsody and knowledge on sysml or uml.

  • In-depth knowledge of real-time operating systems, Robot Operating systems and embedded systems. 

  • Knowledge on Linux/Android/QNX operating systems.

  • Experience with automotive communication bus standards (CAN, Ethernet, FlexRay).

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles in the context of automotive communication.

  • Knowledge on Functional safety standards like ASIL. Knowledge on networking Quality of Service(QoS).

  • Knowledge on Time sensitive networks, In vehicle networks and EE Architecture.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
