About the Role

In this role, within the Finance Data Management (FDM) team, you will play a critical role in facilitating the effective management and utilization of data across Harman. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their data-related impacts, data-utilizitation needs and challenges, evaluate and translate these into actionable requirements, and work closely with Data Management specialists to implement data management solutions. You will contribute to improving Finance data quality, data governance, data processes and data-driven decision-making processes within Harman.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with business units, IT teams and departments to gather business requirements, serve as the conduit between the customer community (internal customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow
  • Lead small projects, gather requirements using interviews, documented analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process models, use cases, business scenarios and workflow analysis.
  • Work with respective colleagues to develop and define effective data processes that create read, update, and delete data.
  • Identify opportunities for data improvement and data quality enhancements and compliance with data governance standards.
  • Assess and evaluate the relationship and impacts between master data and the finance process, recommend improvement opportunities in data and data-utilization-related processes.
  • Support and engage in cross-functional collaboration to drive data-related projects.
  • Define and design reports and dashboards requirement and enhancements Collaborate report implementation in data visualization tool (ETL) and data pipelines
  • Manage user acceptance testing (UAT) planning and execution
  • Participate in data-related problem solving, data testing, validation
  • Support the change management process for data-related initiatives.
  • Create training and documentation for end-users on data tools and processes
  • Define and Design report and dashboard requirements

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience as a business analyst, data analyst, or in automation related project or project managements
  • Solid experience with reporting and analytics solutions (prefer big data)
  • Understanding of data modeling
  • Excellent communication and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, self-learning and troubleshooting
  • Occasionally willingness to travel abroad
