Description & Requirements


Position Summary: 

AME Test Technician is responsible for the functional quality assurance of the products built on Pilot Factory by maintaining all Test Equipment under all Safety, Quality & Operability standards. Ensure availability of equipment and machinery to preserve excellent performance, as well as improve processes by optimizing the performance of equipment and machinery applying HPS philosophy considering the KPIs; Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost for decision making, through performs corrective, proactive, preventive and predictive maintenance of quality.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

•    No supervisory responsibilities assigned.


Job Responsibilities: 

•    Document and publish Test Equipment failure analysis reports in the confluence system with appropriate order.
•    Detects reports and eliminate conditions that may be causing accidents (near miss).
•    Performs preventive maintenance based on pre-defined routines and proposes the inclusion of new tasks based on their experience and that impact to ensure 0% Downtime.
•    Supports the production lines when failures are presented directing activities to corresponding areas when it applies.
•    Involves him(her)self in Problem Solving methodologies in order to fix non conformant conditions or improvement opportunities within Pilot Factory
•    Implements Kaizen according to departments guidelines and goals.
•    Apply and mantain 5S's philosophy within the work area and use continuous improvement methodology.
•    Train others and share his knowledge in the benefit of the company.
•    Comply with norms Environmental Policy (ISO 14000) and Quality Management System (IATF 16949).

Basic Qualifications:

•    Associates degree in the Electronics or related fields of study with more than 2 years of experience in manufacturing areas as Diagnostic, Failure Analysis or Test technician.
•    Strong knowledge in communication protocols (CAN, RS232, SPI, I2C), Boolean and operational logic, signal amplifiers, Radio frequency signals and electric laws and theories.
•    Strong Technical knowledge in electrical controls, PLCs, Lab view, mechanic and pneumatic.
•    Able to manage at least one programming language such as C, C++, C#, Java, etc.
•    Strong knowledge on usage of measuring equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, Spectrum Analyzer).
•    Intermediate English level 60% (reading and writing).
•    Problem Solving and Continuous improvement skills.
•    Basic usage of Microsoft Office.

•    Knowledge in norm IPC 7711/21 and IPC 610.
•    Knowledge in ANSI 2020 (ESD).
