About the Role

We are looking for a Test Engineer to help test and qualify audio electronics products for professional markets globally. As a Test Engineer, you will be part of both in-house development projects and JDM/ODM/OEM development projects with our partners. You will be part of ensuring that our products are verified and validated according to specifications. This includes working with internal developers and suppliers focusing on ensuring product verification and validation as agreed and in accordance with standards. All this in close cooperation with both Systems Engineers, developers, Project Managers and Product Managers.


Your Team

This position will report to Senior Manager, Test & Validation.
What You Will Do

In close cooperation with the Systems Engineer, this role performs and manages tests for in-house projects and supports the JDM/ODM/OEM suppliers in executing product test and verification plans that are in accordance with standards, reviews all test documentation and associated reports, and conducts critical tests in-house or at 3rd party test facilities.

  • Manage test plans and perform test and verification activities for in-house/JDM/ODM/ development projects according to requirements, standards, and use-case scenarios.
  • Work as leading T&V engineer for audio electronic projects.
  • Guide other T&V engineers in creating test plan and carrying out test activities.
  • Design test suites and write test scripts for SW/FW/HW related features.
  • Critical review of all test and verification documentation and associated reports.
  • Contribute to design reviews of samples, prototypes, and more mature hardware.
  • Plan, execute, analyze, and document test and verification activities.
  • Identify, assess, and communicate risks to product performance, safety, and compliance.
  • Support delivering products to the market on scope, time, cost, and quality.
  • Support quality assurance and supplier quality control.
  • Ensure or execute relevant performance measurements of products.

What You Need

  • Min. BS in engineering. Masters desirable.
  • Min. 8+ years’ experience in test and verification of audio electronic.
  • Expertize in audio test automation, common audio testing tools, and audio testing equipment.
  • Strong understanding in key parameters of audio and electronics products.
  • Rich experience with reliability testing including application relevant stress tests, vibration test, temperature tests and humidity tests.
  • Strong interest for product test/qualification and product quality.
  • Analytic, systematic, and pro-active approach to test and verification tasks.
  • Strong interest in technical root cause analysis.
  • Fluent in Chinese and English speech and writing.
  • Comfortable with fast-paced and multitasking environment.

    An entry level role, the degreed Engineer knows and applies basic concepts and techniques of the profession under direct supervision and guidance. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree

    A Senior Engineer provides a wider variety of technical support tasks using a combination of advanced engineering principles and techniques. They operate with little guidance/supervision as Subject Matter Experts (SME) in their defined area of specialization. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree + 5 years’ experience.

  3. Principal Engineer

    Principal Engineers are recognized as an emerging expert. They lead the conceptualization, design, implementation and testing of technologies, tools, or process while consistently demonstrating technical expertise and ingenuity. They demonstrate the ability to plan, define, and execute projects with no supervision. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree + 12 years’ experience.

  4. Senior Principal Engineer

    Recognized as a technical expert, Senior Principal Engineers consistently demonstrate high levels of technical expertise, ingenuity and creativity. They develop and apply advanced technologies, engineering principles, theories and concepts, and have broad knowledge about the design and operation of systems outside of their specialty. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree + 16 years’ experience.

  5. Distinguished Engineer

    A Distinguished Engineer has a strong record of creativity and innovation. They advance engineering principles, theories and concepts, and are recognized as a Company-wide authority in one or more technical areas. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree + 20 years’ experience.

  6. Fellow

    A Fellow is an industry recognized expert with a significant body of peer reviewed research and journal publications and frequently speaks at conferences. Acts as a HARMAN ambassador. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree + 25 years’ experience.

  7. Senior Fellow

    A Senior Fellow is the most accomplished of an elite group of engineers, widely recognized as a World renowned expert in their field of expertise. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree + 30 years’ experience.
