Supervisory Responsibilities:

Direct reports: 2+

Indirect reports: 25-50

  • Part of the Global Program Management (Program Mgmt., OEM-specific SW development, Product Integration, SW System Testing)
  • Budget responsibility for CPM
  • Global Development / Delivery responsibility of all GSDP and Connected Vehicle Services for client
  • Global Team responsibility incl. budgeted contractors
  • Works to agreed program targets (program delivery in schedule, budget, cost and quality)
  • Acts as a role model in terms of leadership and code of business conduct

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will need to have experience in managing the Connected Car programs, Cloud Technologies and Analytics
  • Driving and steering the achievement of program scope targets in terms of schedule, budget, cost and quality
  • Definition of product strategies and road maps
  • Calculation of resources and budget, technical analysis for customer quotations (RFI/RFQ)
  • Managing the capabilities of Customer Program Management to achieve their targets
  • Driving Product-Life-Span-Activities
  • Responsible for the internal and external supplier management during development Interface to OEM Mgmt. and R&D
  • Internal supplier management towards Ignite Core, Ignite Automotive Layer and Ignite Services
  • External supplier/alliance management
  • Providing accurate and aligned program reporting (Internally/Externally)
  • Implementing Product Life Cycle Processes within programs (Project Gating / Milestone Execution Plan)
  • Responsible for project profitability including engineering expenses and product expenses as well as project execution timing & milestones.
  • Ensure Product Qualification and Testing for Global SDP for client
  • Responsible for the development of the Product Delivery and Program Management for the client teams
  • Implementing Product Life Cycle Processes within programs (Project Gating / Milestone Execution Plan)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering; preferably combined with MBA
  • Strong engineering and program management leadership experience in the field of Automotive products / services as 1st tier, ideally connected vehicle domain
  • Track record of successful project delivery of complex electronic systems to OEM in time, in quality and at costs
  • Good experience in building up global footprint and leading global projects with global teams also together with partners and alliances
  • 10+ years automotive experience (Tier 1 suppliers) and 10+ years in global program management
  • Experience of leading large global teams
