About the Role

As the Sr. Manager, Product Management, Software Products you would be responsible for driving global product management activities of Car Audio Software and Software as a Product technologies (SaaP).

You will work closely with and solicit feedback and provide leadership to various cross-functional teams including the Global Customer Business Unit (CBU) teams, the Car Audio Innovation Team (EPIC), and Product Development Engineering Teams. This includes capturing the voice of the customer, supporting new business acquisitions and RFQ pursuits from concept through business award, identifying forward-looking technology & associated strategies, and defining which technologies to invest in.

This role is expected to drive growth by targeted technology deployment, maximizing the potential for sales and margin by enabling attractive product roadmaps, prioritization of technology, and feature development.   You will anticipate industry trends, build value propositions for the technologies, engage with potential customers, set the global sales strategy, and define new revenue channels.


What You Will Do

  • Define the product: including positioning, features, roadmap, and releases as needed to fulfill the overall Car Audio SAAP product strategy.

  • Create and maintain a business plan including pricing, business scale, business case including development, and maintain a status dashboard

  • Support market and customer analysis: sync with CBUs/Marketing/RFQ teams, define and size market segments, determine trends and relevant changes in the international law based on close contact with customers and partners and

  • Conduct competitor analyses and analyze competitive landscape/products

  • Feedback Customer and Competitor intelligence into the refinement of the product strategy and plan.

  • Identify areas for potential partnerships for software/hardware development and identify and recommend potential partners.

  • Lead product management processes and discipline for the business unit.

  • Drive internal and external marketing plans and support RFQ teams to acquire new business.

  • Develop and refine business case metrics and support governance process for approval of roadmap and feature sets.

  • Provide proactive and Innovative ideas on ways to differentiate our products from the competition and “delight” customers

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field

  • 10+ years of automotive technology development experience

  • Experience in Automotive Product Management or closely related area

  • Experience in Automotive electronic hardware development

  • Strong Business Acumen, knowledge of business case development and financial metrics

  • Experience working in a global organization or on a global product

  • Strong skills in communication, presentation, and problem-solving (both customer and internal)

What is Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of hardware and software development best practices

  • Knowledge of Software licensing and creative business models

  • Know-how of current infotainment systems & digital cockpit solutions

  • Master’s in Business Administration
