The Path Forward Return to Work program at HARMAN is a 16- week paid returnship for experienced professionals returning to the workforce after taking time off for caregiving. About the Role

As a part of the team, the goal would be to deliver clear and actionable recommendations to improve the customer experience, optimize the marketing processes and drive business value. You will be responsible for the operation of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Management platform. You will design and develop marketing automation processes together with the business teams and assist the marketing teams in adopting best practices, by utilizing platform capabilities and executing campaigns. You will also work closely with other Salesforce Technical Architects to design, build and enforce platform standards, governance, and architecture.


What You Will Do

  • Responsible for building the technology solutions for supporting data-driven marketing initiatives utilizing Salesforce marketing cloud and data management platform, performing activities such as audience selection, trigger qualification, suppressions, segmentation, building journeys, and configuration of the platform
  • Identify areas in the business where processes can be automated/simplified using the Salesforce Marketing Cloud digital platform
  • Responsible for driving a single view of the customer, multi-channel marketing strategy, social engagement, and marketing analytics/insights
  • Partner with other technical architects to build and enforce best practices for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform.
  • Define data flows and integrations between marketing technology systems and other enterprise platforms
  • Assist with vendor and technology selections by vetting them against functional and non-functional requirements
  • Maintain expertise in the fast-evolving marketing technology landscape

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related
  • Experience and passion for Digital Marketing and Technology solutions with 7+ years of experience configuring and maintaining marketing technology platforms such as Salesforce Marketing cloud, Pardot, Data Management Platform, Ad server, and tag management
  • In addition to relevant technical expertise, must be able to translate business requirements into a technology solution and implement that solution using agile methodology
  • Experience in designing the flow and integration of marketing systems with Salesforce and other enterprise systems
  • Understanding of tagging tools, best practices, taxonomy, and governance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with customer-facing products experience

  • Proficient in Journey Builder Configuration
  • Scripting or programming experience - Java, python, javascript, advanced SQL
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification
  • Understanding of web services (SOAP, REST) used within an integration platform

  • Be willing to travel up to 5%, domestic and international travel
  • Be willing to work in an office in Farmington Hills, MI
  • Must have at least 5 years of professional experience and have been out of the paid workforce for at least two years to focus on caring for a child or other dependent
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
