Position Summary: Business Analyst – Product Lifecycle Management and Industry 4.0

In this role you will work with the business partners to identify and understand their needs, assess the impact of the system, process changes and document the same. You will use Business Process Modeling techniques and methods to capture the requirements. You will participate in the solution selection process by Defining the requirements , Develop selection methodologies/scoring . You will closely work with Solution Architects from Digital organization, Functional leaders from Business and build consensus to find the right and acceptable solution. This position is accountable for deliverables in Business Requirements, Training and User Acceptance testing phases of PLM projects. The analyst should have a good understanding of business processes, operational goals, and key business issues and priorities and should be able to successfully partner with business users and other areas of Digital to integrate solutions put in place by IT initiatives.

    • Initiation & Planning
      • Own the business case. Define the business problem and primary objectives of new projects
      • Engage is pre project prep work with the business unit integrators and business leadership to form business goals that lay the foundation for business requirements gathering
      • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
      • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and business requirements and deliver the BRD, use cases, user experience and interface designs
      • Solution Selection Process
        • Develop scoring methodology and pattern
        • Work with Stake holders for Application scoring
        • Develop analytics and provide useful reports to stake holders
      • Use Business Process Modeling techniques and methods
      • Capture AS-IS and define TO-BE process
      • Participate in Workshop to finalize and prioritize functional requirements
      • Co-Ordinate and Develop Project plan involving testing and training
    • Project Execution
      • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
      • Critically evaluate and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
      • Serve as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow
      • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) planning and execution with business and IT
    • Closing
      • Obtain business alignment. Facilitate troubleshooting of remaining issues and bring conclusion
      • Actively participate in training strategy, planning, and coordinated execution.
      • Actively engage the power users from the business teams in training the end users

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with 10+ years of experience in PLM, supply chain and manufacturing solutions
  • Good understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI) process
  • Working experience in defining PLM functionalities like Change Management, Configuration management, Supplier Management, Classification, eBOM to mBOM transformation, etc.
  • Certifications on Lean Business methodologies
  • PMP or other equivalent certification
  • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements using natural language
  • A global perspective with the ability to understand and work effectively in a culturally diverse organization
  • Experience working with and managing vendors
  • Proven ability to creatively solve business problems using technology solutions and processes
  • Excellent facilitation, interviewing and documentation skills
  • Possess understanding in the areas of PLM, IoT and smart manufacturing technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Proven ability to influence outcomes through persuasion, effective communication, and relationship building
  • Ability to successfully engage in and lead multiple initiatives simultaneously

Desired Characteristics:

  • Business Analysis certification CBAP® or equivalent
  • Master’s Degree / MBA from a top-tier school preferred
  • Professional consulting experience
  • Ability to influence and drive change throughout the organization
  • Familiarity with tools such as Visio, SharePoint, JIRA,Confluence and AtTask

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time
