About the Role

An integral part of the Global Professional Solutions HR team, the Sr. Manager, Talent Management, will lead the function for the Professional Solutions Division (PRO) collaborating with Harman Corporate HR on the deployment and implementation of integrated talent management processes and tools to build individual skills and organizational capabilities needed to execute the division’s business strategy. This role will be responsible for designing, developing and managing all aspects of PROS's talent management and learning and development programs on a global basis. The candidate will work collaboratively across the division and partner with the Corporate Talent Management team and HR Business Partners. He/she will combine expertise and thought-leadership for this critical role with a pragmatic, hands-on approach to deliver best-in-class talent solutions to the division.

What You Will Do

  • Manage across the division the innovative talent management programs and processes to improve depth, quality and engagement of talent across the organization – may include development and management of talent profiles, career paths, competency assessments and team effectiveness tools within the division, etc.
  • Manage the identification and proactive management of key talent across the division; work with PRO HR Business Partners and Leaders to identify critical roles and employee segments.
  • Develop deep understanding of the Success Factors and Workday platforms, which is essential to the management and operation of the Talent Management program.
  • Create and execute learning strategies and programs
  • Evaluate individual and organizational development needs
  • Implement various learning methods companywide (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, online training)
  • Create/Design and deliver e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings based on the people needs of the Professional Solutions division
  • Assess the success of individual development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities.
  • Help managers develop their team members through career pathing through partnership with HR Business Partners.
  • Lead program management of core talent management processes including performance management and succession planning to ensure divisional consistency, integration and continuous improvement of these programs across the division coordinating all activities with divisional HR team.
  • Partner with divisional Talent Acquisition lead to align external recruiting efforts with internal talent planning and to address identified gaps/risks in succession plans and talent pipelines within the division.

What You Need

  • Four-year degree/or equivalent from an accredited university in Business, Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in developing and managing talent management programs and L&D training
  • Proven experience as an L&D Manager, Training Manager or similar
  • Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices
  • Experience working across all levels in a global and matrix environment
  • Significant program management experience with demonstrated ability to drive continuous process improvement and governance structure.
  • Demonstrated experience working and influencing senior level executives.
  • Strong ability to operate and manage Microsoft Office, ERP/HR systems.

  • Professional certification (e.g. CPLP)
  • Knowledge of global data privacy laws.
  • An understanding of strategic business objectives and the ability to drive results toward those objectives.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure with limited supervision
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate with business stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to perform in a command-and-control role under pressure and to manage multiple priorities with competing demands.
  • Strong analytical, data processing and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in process formulation and improvement.
