About the Role

In conjunction with the Sr. Director, Global L&D, this individual will globally lead the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of learning programs for all professional levels and positions in the Leadership Academy. The Director will have strong knowledge of training best practices to support HARMAN’s people and leadership development pipeline. He/she will cultivate relationships with senior business leaders to develop an agile needs assessment process and partner with internal experts to create engaging programs and training curriculums. The individual will lead cross-functional, complex initiatives, project teams and external resources, as applicable. This is a highly visible position that requires expertise in delivering high-impact people and leadership development programs across all levels in a global, fast pace environment and strong leadership in a matrixed environment.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with executive and senior level management to define short and long-term leadership, business and high potential development needs
  • In partnership with the Director of Talent Management, manage high potentials programs curriculum, including alignment with development centers, learning interventions for high potentials, and communication and reporting to top management as needed
  • Oversee governance of local learning roadmap development and implementation; define global targets and ensure local alignment
  • Create and implement content delivery strategies that are compelling to the learners and meet business needs, in a cost-effective manner using varied formal and informal modalities
  • Be a pioneer in exploring new learning technologies adjusted to the regional or country specific preferences
  • Identify and manage partnerships with renowned leadership and professional development firms, as well as global learning institutions
  • Contribute to HARMAN’s Diversity & Inclusion efforts by actively engaging target audiences and delivering appropriate learning interventions
  • Using a variety of communication channels, market and create awareness of learning programs
  • Coach and manage a team of learning professionals in various geographies

What You Need

  • Bachelor`s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Management or related field of study
  • Min of 12 years of experience driving Learning in global matrixed organizations
  • Strategic perspective - proven ability to create learning roadmaps for leadership, business and functional development
  • Proven track record for delivering results in environments characterized by high growth, fast pace and or rapid change
  • Strong knowledge of learning best practices and theory with ability to implement pragmatic solutions tailored to meet specific business needs

What is Nice to Have?

  • Master`s degree in Psychology, Learning, Management, or related subject
  • Project management experience
