About the Role

This position owns the design and execution of HARMAN’s early career programs, such as our High Potential Leadership Experience Acceleration Program (LEAP), our Samsung Talent Exchange Program and our University Relations Program. In this role you will be responsible for developing and executing the framework that will build the organization’s pipeline of leadership capabilities needed to drive HARMAN’s 2025 growth goals. You will be accountable for overseeing divisional execution of the programs to ensure they follow consistent talent selection criteria and program design practices.


Your Team


In this role you will report to the Director of Global Talent Acquisition. You will have the opportunity to lead a team of two talented individuals.

What You Will Do

  • Manage, design and build a companywide framework for our entry level leadership development program (LEAP), University Relations program (feeder to LEAP) and other high potential programs
  • Identify learning objectives for each program target group and design appropriate curriculum content and delivery methods
  • Oversee the participant selection process to ensure there is gender balance along with the appropriate divisional/functional/geographical representation
  • Establish program advisory committees including senior business leaders, HR and Talent Management to determine the scope of each program
  • Select and manage internal and external partners to support various aspects of successful program delivery including assessment centers, individual/group coaching and leadership development content
  • Manage the program budget and drive KPI’s to measure program impact and effectiveness
  • Partner with D&I lead to ensure all programs are aligned with our D&I strategy and practices

What You Need

  • 8-10 years of Talent Management, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition and/or equivalent experience in Human Resources
  • Experience building and developing leadership and/or high potential programs
  • Experience utilizing Six Sigma methodologies
  • Proven ability to establish rapport in a collaborative way and build credibility with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools and coaching methodologies
  • Experience consulting with clients in identifying learning requirements and conducting needs analysis to build or source leadership development content

What is Nice to Have?

  • Certifications in various assessment methodologies

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel up to 20%, both domestically and internationally
  • Be willing to work in an office in Farmington Hills, MI (other locations may be considered for internal candidates only)
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
