The Path Forward Return to Work program at HARMAN is a 16 week paid returnship for experienced professionals returning to the workforce after taking time off for caregiving. About the Role

As a Sr. Business Analyst, you will be accountable for Business Requirements, Training and User Acceptance testing for DigITal Analytics Projects. In this position, you should have a good understanding of business processes, project objectives, operational goals, and key business issues and priorities.


What You Will Do

Strategic competencies

  • Envision creative solutions to business challenges through constant analysis of the organization's strategic business needs
  • Establish common processes and platforms; drive standards and best-practices

Project-related competencies

  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements.

Operational core competencies

  • Process Leadership
  • Manage Business Integrator role, providing training, informational updates, BI Matrix updates, etc
  • Lead cross-functional business process re-engineering teams and continuous improvement efforts
  • Quickly analyze and communicate the business process and data challenges

Professional competencies

  • Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management
  • Mentor and coach other Business Analysts and Solution Architects on the techniques and best-practices around the BA role, particularly around building verifiable requirements so they can play their roles more effectively and with more confidence

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 - 7 years of IT Business Analysis and project management experience
  • Experience in project management perspective with the ability to understand and work effectively in a culturally diverse organization
  • Proven ability to creatively solve business problems using technology solutions and processes
  • Possess understanding in the areas of SAP, internet technologies, Integration toolsets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously

What is Nice to Have

  • Business Analysis certification CBAP® or equivalent
  • Masters Degree / MBA preferred
  • Professional consulting experience
  • Ability to influence and drive change throughout the organization
  • Experience with a Reporting tool such as” Qlik Sense “
  • Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and WorkFront

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel up to 15%, domestic and international travel
  • Be willing to work in an office in Farmington Hills, MI location
  • Must have at least 5 years of professional experience and have been out of the paid workforce for at least two years to focus on caring for a child or other dependent
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
