The Path Forward Return to Work program at HARMAN is a 16- week paid returnship for experienced professionals returning to the workforce after taking time off for caregiving. About the Role

As a part of the HARMAN Finance organization, you will be in the midst of a two-year global transformation initiative called Finance Innovation 2021 (FIN21), which is comprised of multiple work streams developing capabilities in separate environments. You will be working as part of a project team to coordinate the execution of the large scale, end-to-end Finance data testing and validation to prove out new capabilities in SAP ECC/BW4 HANA/BPC environment, using iterative test/validation cycles (monthly cycles: June – August).


What You Will Do

  • Document and socialize testing and validation scope and limitations to the project testers
  • Work with project managers and technical teams to develop testing/validation work plan to coordinate activities across Digital and Finance resources: data loads, environment refreshes, test execution, validation criteria, test execution
  • Evaluate and assign data issues identified during each test cycle for timely resolution
  • Track and report out on test execution completeness and defect/issue resolution progress
  • Assist in testing coordination and execution activities, as needed, for timely completion of cycles
  • Schedule and run testing/validation status meetings with project team and stakeholders
  • Report out testing/validation progress to project steering committee (bi-weekly)

What You Need

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Computers, Information Technology and/or Finance
  • Demonstrated experience (5+ years) of increasing responsibilities within a global, multicultural, multi-location organization
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including an ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and manage multiple workstreams.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

What is Nice to Have

  • Ability to manage key stakeholder interests, simultaneously managing conflicting priorities and business interests.
  • Experience managing customer-facing, strategic and/or application development projects.
  • Experience managing virtual teams.
  • Proficiency in project management methodology
  • Knowledge of database design and SAP COPA, BW, BPC, Qlik, Business Objects

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel up to 5%, domestic and international travel
  • Be willing to work in an office in Farmington Hills, MI
  • Must have at least 5 years of professional experience and have been out of the paid workforce for at least two years to focus on caring for a child or other dependent
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
