The Path Forward Return to Work program at HARMAN is a 16- week paid returnship for experienced professionals returning to the workforce after taking time off for caregiving. The program is open to women and men who have at least 5 years of professional experience and have been out of the paid workforce for at least two years to focus on caring for a child or other dependent. About the Role

As part of the Automation team, you will be responsible to drive execution across multiple interdependent projects within HARMAN business units and ensure outcomes are delivered on time, within scope and budget and of the desired quality. You will define the execution standards and processes to be followed by all project managers within the program or department.


What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with business and functional partners and technology leadership in defining features backlog and specifying requirements
  • Review and funnel automation projects, perform Cost-Benefit Analysis based on business process details and automation cost.
  • Drive operating rhythm to review the funneled project with the Automation Governance Council, prioritize automation projects based on cost-benefit analysis and hand-over for development.
  • Outline multi-generational project strategy aligned to deliver on the expected outcomes
  • Define execution methodologies and project management practices to be followed by all projects within the program
  • Organize project teams comprising from internal and external technical and functional experts based on budget, scope, and timeline
  • Manage day-to-day execution of multiple interdependent projects by working directly with global technical teams. Manage procurement and onboarding process
  • Coordinate execution across multiple projects and drive shared approach and outcomes tracking
  • Support execution team with the resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies. Partner with technical and functional teams external to the project to ensure their tasks are completed as required

What You Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or Engineering or 10 years of IT technical experience
  • Minimum 5 years of IT Project Management experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite of products such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

What is Nice to Have

  • PMP, ScrumMaster or related Project Management certifications
  • Proven experience using project management methodologies to deliver business value and drive significant change across an organization
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of various project and portfolio management methodologies with a track record of implementing shared standards for large organizations
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence outcomes and organize teams to attain shared goals
  • Change oriented, actively generates process improvements, champions and drives change initiatives, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly

  • Must have at least 5 years of professional experience and have been out of the paid workforce for at least two years to focus on caring for a child or other dependent
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
