About the Role

The Senior Specialist works within Harman’s Professional Solutions Division in supply chain deparment. She/He manages supply vs demand analysis, implements routine MRP buying activities( PO/Forecast/Reschedule), cooperates with cross-functional business units globally to deal with supply issues to keep backlog in a low rate while inventory in a appropriate level.



What You Will Do

  • Weekly MRP review (demand qty/timing compared with available stock with pipeline qty), and on-time place PO and release long-term forecast to suppliers to guarantee 100% demand requirement.
  • Work with Vendor for Weekly tracking PO confirmation, re-schedule confirmation, goods collection, boat tracking, arrival tracking, custom clearance, receiving tracking and payment coordination. 
  • Regular communication with Vendor and other department(Demand planner, warehouse…) to confirm materials deliveries/availability to catch their production (for example, demand fluctuation, capacity shortage, logistic problem) in order to meet 95% OTD requirement
  • Follow company rules to always optimize inventory level to meet target, by defined materials planning process, deliveries frequency, minimum ordering quantity, standard delivery lot, and safety stock setting.
  • Follow company rules to always optimize freight cost to minimize transportation cost, by defined transportation method in normal cases and approved premium-transportation method in special cases.
  • Systematic supplier management review for continuous improvement, for better service quality, better flexibility, and high OTD rate. And take actions in order to achieve better supplier performance, in terms of logistic issues.
  • Clear waterfall analysis to judge/execute liability for excess (EOL product) and premium freight cost.
  • Provide support to address/coordinate on contingent issues within the team like invoice booking problems, payment issues, master data maintenance and help to do the consolidation of OTD/drop order fulfillment report/critical issues highlight on behalf of the whole team.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Commercial, Industry Engineering or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of processes in production:demand planning/materials/purchasing/logistiscs
  • Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience in certain commodities – ideally mechanical; PCB; loudspeaker software parts; electronic parts (passives, actives).
  • Ideally some years of expereince as planner or buyer
  • Great English knowledge both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of SAP-MM module 
  • Steady knowledge of MS office, strong excel
  • High attention to details and deadlines
  • Able to work independently, proactive attitude
  • Strong organizing and communication skills, ability to work in a multicultural, fast-paced global environtment

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to work in an office in Budapest
  • 5% travel depending on need
