Position Summary:

      This position leads the global strategy development and technical execution of the growing Semiconductor Category. Supplier relationships, capacity commitments, assurance of supply, competitive market pricing, and strategy to the latest technology roadmaps are critical within this category. This role maintaining close relationships with global key stakeholders and suppliers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Actively manage the end-to-end global strategic sourcing and procurement processes for Semiconductor categories for assigned suppliers
  • Provide innovative strategies for optimizing global sourcing effectiveness for new projects and benchmarking on existing projects
  • Manage and/or lead preparation and evaluation of RFIs and RFPs to support new business development opportunities
  • Ensures supplier commercial and operational processes and principles meet Harman’s requirements in support of best cost, financial performance, and technical capabilities
  • Drives & Innovates suppliers’ improvements and performance by identifying and implementing solutions to business problems, independently, cross-functionally and globally as appropriate within assigned categories.  Interfaces with all key functions and levels of the businesses as required
  • Develop and execute sub-category strategies for semiconductors technologies supporting the business across all the divisions
  • Manage Cost Saving related projects and drive implementations.
  • Manage supply and capacity commitments from supply base
  • Support Supply Chain Management department on the following
    • Get technical and commercial packages for RFQ/RFI on new and current projects to drive RFQ packages with global suppliers
    • Generate benchmark analysis for current projects (cost break downs comparisons and recommendations
    • New Supplier Registration and setup (SAP information, Prices, info record setups, Incoterms, etc)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or Engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in Direct Materials Procurement
  • Demonstrated experience within a global, multicultural, multi-location organization
  • Fluent English
  • Self-motivated and self-driven attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Automotive or Semiconductor Industry experience is an advantage
    • SAP / SA / PO / PR knowledge preferred
    • Proficient in the application of Purchasing and Planning/Production systems
    • Able to coordinate issue resolution in the supply chain and understand the interactions of planning, engineering, bill of materials/routes, purchasing, quality, internal customs, warehouse, receiving

Eligibility Requirements:

Willingness to travel 10-20% max

Willingness to work in an office in Budapest [hybrid]
