About the Role

  • We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and respected Internal Communications senior specialist to join our organization.

  • In this position, you will create and promote HARMAN’s strong work culture, values and ethics and develop a positive image of the organization with its global employees.

  • You will develop communication strategies for better engagement with our employees – our biggest assets - to promote our company’s business and leadership.



Your Team

  • You will be a part of a dynamic, driven and passionate young team of communicators, spread across geographies.
  • You will report into the senior director for corporate communications.
  • This is an individual contributor role.

    What You Will Do
  • Develop internal communications strategies for current and existing services, products, launches, and promotions for the company.
  • Own, develop and maintain the company’s intranet.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to understand upcoming initiatives and/or changes; develop integrated communications plans, then execute. Includes drafting key messaging, FAQs, talk tracks and other support materials.
  • Write and manage HARMAN Leadership communications and build a strategy for regularly communicating employee recognition and wins
  • Write memorable, engaging communications across all channels that drive awareness of key initiatives and inspire employees to take action (e.g. Company Intranet, email, digital screens, our internal blog, our internal social network.
  • Plan, communicate and execute country and regional All Hands and Executive Town Halls.
  • Track campaign results and influence the team and your business partners to apply key
    learnings in order to improve future programs.
  • Develop In-house content for key products including simplifying complex tech concepts/products into succinct and memorable narratives in written communications.
  • Develop compelling, creative stories that evoke a positive imagery of the company, combined with visually-compelling content like videos and infographics.
  • Collaboration with functional teams including global marketing, product, design, user experience, corporate and local communications teams as well as external partners to align and implement communications strategy and messaging.

What You Need

  • A brilliant communicator and highly creative writer experienced in crafting compelling
    messaging and narratives; one who can generate and execute "breakout" ideas.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing creative internal communications plans
  • Knowledge of working with Intranets – specially related technologies, like SharePoint
  • 7-8 of experience in internal communications. Experience of working with large, multinational company is necessary.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills is a pre-requisite; strong copywriting and content creation skills

What is Nice to Have

  • Bachelors/Master’s degree in marketing, journalism, business, or related field
  • Willing to work, network and collaborate with a global communications team, sitting across countries and continents and managing time zones effectively
  • Up-to-date on latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently
  • Strict adherence to company philosophy/mission statement
  • Strong project management skills with ability to supervise multiple projects
  • Available to work nights or weekends when needed
