The Manager, Global HR Data Analytics & Planning  will work closely with the Director of People Analytics to help build HARMAN’s capability to leverage human capital technology and analytics to provide a superior customer-centric experience, enabling fact-based decisions and innovative solutions to deliver premier performance.

Your Team

The Manager, Global HR Data Analytics will report into the Director, People Analytics & Planning, and have one Global HR Data Analyst as a direct report.

What You Will Do

Analytics Solutioning:

  • Working with the Director, People Analytics & Planning, build a work class People Analytics strategy; to lead the evolution of HR analytics and advance HARMAN’s HR analytics maturity model to an optimized state – resulting in real-time data driven decision making and impactful predictions/forecasts.

  • Work along with Director and Partner with HR CoE’s, including Global Rewards, Talent Management, Diversity & Inclusion, Talent Acquisition, and HARMAN U to create analytical roadmaps, relevant analytical solutions, implementation schedule, benefit measurement templates, change management to embed analytics within the organisation’s DNA

  • Develop relationships with HR Business Partners, and work with them to understand their business challenges and develop appropriate analytics solutions to address them.

Execution and Delivery

  • End to end execution of special projects / analytics engagement across to deliver on high impact and visibility.

  • Managing solutioninig of complex projects involving multiple stakeholders . Work with internal and external stakeholders from development to implementation of new age solutions

  • Own complex data analysis to identify opportunities and set priorities. Utilize metrics and data to deep dive into program issues, uncover trends and make recommendations

  • Concisely summarize data to create compelling analyses and engaging presentations

  • Continually assist with optimizing the data management for analytics, implementing changes where applicable

  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide insights to key stakeholders regarding key trends their behaviors and the competitive landscape

  • Manage the team prioritization activities, Provide line management for direct report, complete annual reviews and conduct performance management for the team, Facilitates implementation of new training, development, recruiting, and other related initiatives.


  • Keep abreast with latest advancement in HR analytics & technology field and Data Science  (ML/ AI) and lead development or deployment of innovative solutions that yield business transformation and significant impact


  • Work with Director in driving adoption of analytical solutions across HR and business lines and enable analytics maturity via various learning interventions i.e. work-shops, forums, training etc. 

What You Need

  • Masters in Human Resources, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of management or analytics experience preferred. Experience of working with HR systems for implementation of analytics is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience with a functional knowledge of HR processes, systems, and functions and analytics
  • High proficiency in making decisions by consistently proposing quality solutions and answers to issues by gathering extensive data, conducting research, and presenting a recommended solution to all parties involved
  • Should have experience of working and managing solutioninig of complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Problem-solving aptitude, Analytical mind and great business sense; Excellent Communication Skills – it is incredibly important to describe findings to a technical and non-technical audience.
  • Should have an understanding or experience of working with analytics tools . Machine Learning (eg: R/ Python/ Enterprise tools), Visualization (Qliksense/ Tableau)
  • Workday expertise preferable not essential
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
