You will join our Marketing department based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands in the position of: 

Social Media Lead - EMEA

About the Role:

Do you want to help our iconic audio brands build a strong voice on social? We are looking for a full-time Social Media Lead to support our brand growth (JBL, Harman Kardon, InfinityLab) across EMEA. This role is part of the EMEA Brand Engagement and Shopper Marketing team, located in our EMEA HQ in Amsterdam.

You combine your understanding of social media strategy with flawless execution. You understand Gen Z, social media creators and the youth culture landscape in Europe, particularly music, entertainment, and fashion. Your mature judgement and decision-making skills help you in managing the consistent brand image.

You understand the consumer electronics industry and social innovation, spotting emerging trends and turning them into creative concepts. You are sensitive to cultural contexts and can be a true business partner to regional teams and agency partners. You are a natural collaborator, able to influence stakeholders within a complex organization. You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment full of change since that’s the very nature of social (as anyone with admin access to Facebook Business Manager will confirm).

What You Will Do:

  • Implementing the social media strategy across the EMEA region; running European social accounts and collaborating with the local teams on country social accounts.  
  • Building social media campaigns, from agency briefing and overseeing creative development to execution, localization, and post-campaign analysis, supporting our brand activities, new product launches, brand ambassadors and events. Supporting the EMEA implementation of global social media campaigns.
  • Leading the day-to-day communication with the social media agencies: directly managing 3 social media agencies with teams between 5 and 20, facilitating their collaboration. 
  • Collaborating with the Media team on planning and executing brand campaigns and always-on paid media plans on various social platforms (TikTok, Snapchat, Meta, Twitter, innovation platforms). Working with the Online Sales team on executing product-focused campaigns. Aligning with the Product team, PR & Influencer Marketing team, Customer Support team on executing social media activities.  
  • Supporting other functions across the organization on social campaigns and content: automotive, retailer and distributor teams. 
  • Supporting the Social Media Manager on monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, dashboard management, budget, and vendor management.

What You Need:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • At least 4 years of experience in social media. 
  • Hands-on experience with social media, content marketing, social advertising.

What is nice to have: 

  • Speaking more than one European language.
  • Agency (or agency management) experience.
