Media Campaign Manager

About the Role:

The Media Performance Manager coordinates the execution and analysis of paid media campaigns execution across the Harman Consumer Audio, Car Audio, and Professional brands in EMEA. Execution focuses on the performance analysis and optimization of paid media while prioritizing brands, countries, and media channels.  The role requires a strong mix of traditional, digital, social, and content experience that enables mapping out full funnel paid communication plans. The ideal candidate demonstrates proficiency in developing POVs that incorporate emerging trends in media, marketing, and audience-targeting opportunities.

The Manager also collaborates with various marketing and E-com stakeholders to create and implement media plans that drive brand/product awareness, favorability, consideration, and purchase. A key part of the role is establishing and maintaining productive partnerships with internal teams that span branding, marketing communications, consumer insights, ecommerce, and data/analytics, as well as skillful engagement with external agency partners and the media community. Critical outcomes include aligning media and messaging, underpinning approaches with data-driven analysis, and driving innovation across paid and owned media. 

The manager will work with Harman’s media & creative agency partners.  Liaise with Harman Direct & In-Direct

E-com and manage how paid consumer communication efforts coordinate alongside Marketing and E-com owned and earned communications.  The manager will support the director in budget allocation, briefing, and evaluation of media plans. The manager will influence the design concepting of online video and display banner assets, and advise local markets, CA (car audio), and Pro on their own media plans.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have any direct reports internally but supports in managing agency partners.

What You Will Do:

  • Steward EMEA media budget management and support Director of Media, EMEA in budget allocation across portfolio of brands and product categories.  

  • Collaborate cross-functionally across marketing functions to support development and execution of paid communication plans (i.e., brand, marketing communications, consumer insights, customer marketing, social, PR, and E-com).

  • Coordinate in the briefing, design, execution, and analysis of paid media plans that support business objectives across Harman EMEA divisions.

  • Establish and track performance criteria throughout all media campaigns.

  • Organize the creative asset and messaging allocation across multiple paid channels; programmatic display, online video, radio/music streaming, social, addressable (d)OOH, and connected TV.

  • Review and Analyze agency reporting to inform future media and creative briefings.

  • Support Director of Media, EMEA in the day-to-day management operations of media agency of record.

  • Manage PO requirements, invoicing, and budget tracking.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • At least 5 years’ experience with demonstrated success in managing multiple media campaigns across brand and product marketing.

  • Current knowledge of industry trends and innovations within the media marketplace.

  • Proven ability to think strategically with a balanced analytical and creative approach and synthesize large amounts of information into actionable plans.

  • Process oriented self-starter with strong sense of ownership, assertive follow-through, and orientation towards results.

  • Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple assignments and deadlines, to prioritize assignments as necessary.

  • Solid planning and organization skills necessary in managing complex projects and schedules.

  • Experience working within, international and cross-functional teams.

  • Budget management experience.
