Position Summary:

  • Assigned and responsible for a set of specific products globally.  This position will interface with supply and demand personnel and integrated within our DRP (Demand Resource Planning) functions to insure the timely management of our  supply PO/ICSTO/IBDN per DC.  The ultimate responsibility will be to provide accurate ATP at any point in time within SAP & BI.  This position will escalate as necessary in constrained supply situations to DRP for allocation instructions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interfaces with Harman supply chain personnel to create, managed and insure system integrity thru existing Supply PO’s, ICSTO & associated IBDNs.
  • Coordinates with DRP risks, constraints & reschedules for proper mitigation.
  • Manages, mitigates and reports backorders through DRP and through S&OE reviews.
  • Monitors NPI & EOL transitions and escalates when required.
  • Reviews and maintains planned delivery times and maintains the field in SAP.
  • Reviews to insure the product life cycle plant specific and cross plant material status’ are maintained to insure orders booked can be filled.
  • Escallates to DRP possible drop ship opportunities to fill orders in the most expeditious and cost effective manner.
  • Reviews products for excess and possible conversion to sellable products to insure inventory is utilized to fulfill orders in the most effective manner.
  • Makes recommendations for safety stock level adjustments to insure supply and inventory targets are balanced.
  • Reviews backlog frequently, assesses and makes suggestions to sales or RSOs for order alternatives for drop-ins including expediting production & inbounds FG freight.
  • Ascertains order & fulfillment priorities and works with regional counterparts & Sales and Operations Planning - to keep Unconfirmed Backlog to a minimum each month.  Key measures will be Confirmed Unshipped backlog for current month and Fall Out (i.e. Unconfirmed Backlog for current month.)
  • Works closely with CSU Sales & Manufacturing to manage allocation and completion of custom built orders within lead times & for proper system scheduling.
  • Tracks spare part orders and works with customer service procurement team to optimize fill rates, keep system PO data accurate & backorders to a minimum.
  • Takes an active part in participating in cross-functional projects (NPI, Sales, Distribution, Processes, Logistics and warehousing, etc…).

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business administration or equivalent from an accredited university or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 5+ years experience in distribution, delivery, warehouse and inventory management is required
  • In depth knowledge regarding overall warehouse and logistics activities to include process improvement, order processing, order fulfillment, on-time delivery, transportation, distribution of raw materials and finished goods from warehouse to warehouse or plant to plant.
  • Must be able to manage heavy work loads while maintiaing a very high degree of detailed data maintenance and accuracy.
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and preferably experience with SAP or equivalent warehouse management system.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, talk and hear.  The employee frequently is required to sit, stand and walk and reach with hands and arms.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet and within OSHA's standard requirements.
