German Payroll Administrator

Job responsibilities

 

Payroll Accounting:

  • Carrying out payroll accounting for a specific group of employees with various different remuneration calculation principles and different working time models.
  • Checking benefits in kind for tax/social insurance obligations and correct accounting.

Processing Time Management:

  • Checking and correcting supplements for work on Sundays, public holidays, at late hours, at night and extra hours.
  • Monitoring the different working time accounts and checking compliance with the various statutory, collective bargaining agreements and internal regulations pertaining to these.

Processing Special Payroll Items:

  • Calculating and accounting for various types of special payments.
  • Calculating, retaining and transferring garnishable amounts according to specification and ruling
  • Processing compensation claims by third parties.
  • Perform payroll for international assignments.

Reconciliation:

  • Monthly reconciliation of all accounts logged through Payroll together with Finance/Controlling.
  • Monthly reconciliation of social insurance contributions with the health insurance funds and, if necessary, settling any discrepancies that occur.

SAP administration:

  • Continuously running various ad-hoc query evaluations.
  • Supporting personnel costs planning and annual financial reporting by running complex special evaluations.

Co-operating with External Authorities

Employee Services:

  • Informing employees about statutory, collective bargaining agreements (e.g. occupational pension schemes) and company regulations

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • University or college degree or 1-2 years experience in similar position.
  • 1-2 years experience in Payroll, HR or Accounting field
  • Intermediate German language knowledge, 
  • Minimum basic English language
  • Outstanding numeric skills
  • Analytical and high problem-solving skills
  • Precise, detaile-oriented attitude
