The principal responsibility of this role is to ensure the provision of a professional HR service to all Managers and Employees. The post holder will have a thorough knowledge and understanding of employee relations, recruitment and selection, discipline and grievance. They also act as an internal consultant on all employment issues and will have excellent knowledge of legislation to ensure Managers and Employees are advised correctly and within the confines of Company Policy and Employment Law.


  • Supports the Management with the execution of all HR initiatives;
  • Supports the recruitment processes and works closely with the internal Talent Acquisiton Specialists;
  • Serves as the first point of contact to address questions from employees and supervisors on any employment matter;
  • Advises on company procedures and interpretation of policies in line with employment legislation to ensure the application in a fair and equitable manner;
  • Creates and maintains Personnel records ensuring that current legislation is adhered to and that Best Practice is followed;
  • Responsible for initiating various personnel actions (i.e. leaves of absence, salary changes, terminations, etc.);
  • Conducts new employee orientation and exit interviews as required;
  • Support of internship program within HARMAN;
  • Actively participates in CSR activities;
  • Works to achieve HR KPI’s in line with department objectives.


  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Industrial Relations or other HR-related disciplines;
  • At least 3-5+ years experience in a similar role and level;
  • Advanced English knowledge;
  • Expert knowledgeable on employment laws, HR procedures and practices;
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management;
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) along with an aptitude for learning and using new software tools;
  • Must have positive and professional verbal and written communication skills, maintain excellent interpersonal skills.
