Position Summary:

The Channel Manager wins, maintains, and expands relationships with assigned business channel partners throughout the Nordics region, which includes Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland. Harman Professional offers solutions for many different markets including Touring, Hospitality, Corporate, Education, Government, Hospitality, Large Venues or Retail/MI. The Channel Manager is responsible to drive business with channel partners across of these market segments. He or she ensures that our partners are trained and have a focused strategy to grow each of the markets that they have partnered with us. A strong focus of the channel manager is to work with the sales force of the channel partners, driving programs and visiting key customers together with them on a regular basis.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

This will assume no direct reports.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Grow business with major distribution partners for our audio & video/control products to meet assigned targets.
  • Very close cooperation with the sales team of channel partners. Channel Partner Sales Team = Harman Sales Team.
  • Ensuring all assigned channel partners are meeting Harman performance expectations in sales, marketing, operations, forecasting and reporting.
  • Teamwork across all functions of the business from sales, customer service, technical service, marketing, operations to management.
  • To work with a diverse group of sales and customer service representatives to implement the strategic plan, by effective tactical goals, sales processes and reporting procedures.
  • Proactively leads a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship.
  • To monitor the performance of the existing product range, identifying market trends and opportunities for new product development.
  • To ensure the provision of training and technical support to all categories of clients, with the particular focus on designers and consultants, and those who influence purchasing decisions, by transferring technical expertise from the Company to the wider audio community.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred but not essential.
  • Has managed distribution partners in either professional installed Audio/Video industry or within the UCC market.
  • Has a thorough understanding of all audio equipment used within the professional arena or experience of related technologies.
  • Has ‘hands-on’ experience of AV equipment at a professional level.
  • Has proven sales experience within the AV industry.
  • Home Office based, Ideally based in Sweden, preferred locations Stockholm or Gothenburg – but also possible in Norway or Denmark.

Eligibility Requirements:

Willingness to travel 60% of the time.
