Position Summary:

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will assist with all management reporting to Samsung HQ, and will be responsible for data analysis in coordination with Harman’s divisional finance teams, identifying underlying issues and preparing reports for Harman senior management. This role will support the Corporate FP&A team with the budgeting process and help meet all requirements for planning, forecasting and reporting the financial data for Harman entities globally.

Job Responsibilities:

Work in collaboration with the Corporate FP&A team to:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly reporting files for Samsung HQ and Harman senior management.
  • Utilize BPC to retrieve financial information in support of ad hoc projects and tasks.
  • Create Monthly Executive Committee materials, and prepare quarterly Board of Directors’ meeting materials, including consolidation of Divisional input.
  • Support Headcount, Working Capital and P&L Analysis and communicate with different Divisions.
  • Participate in the budget planning process and consolidate data from all entities in order to prepare and deliver the consolidated Harman budget.
  • Manage the monthly variance reporting, and rolling forecast submissions.
  • Prepare standard templates within BPC to enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Liaise with FP&A teams globbaly to streamline the reporting process.
  • Support the Corporate Division in the planning, budgeting and forecasting process, and monthly analytical review of results to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Support variance analysis and ad-hoc reporting from Samsung
  • Support Forecast / Budget development at the cost center planning level
  • Prepare and maintain standard monthly reports

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting.
  • 5-7 years experience related to financial reporting and management reporting
  • Background in financial analysis, preferably with a large international manufacturing company including experience with foreign currency consolidations
  • Strong IT skills: Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint, experience with SAP/BPC or other ERP systems.
  • Working knowledge of accounting standards for manufacturing and service industries
  • Excellent analytical abilities and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Capacity to perform at a high level in a fast paced multi-tasking environment

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA and\or CPA preferred
  • Operational finance experience a plus, working across multiple entities and/or functional areas

 

 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel 10%.
  • Willingness to work in an office in Stamford, CT.
