Position Summary:
The Intern, HR Business Analyst is responsible for reporting, analysis, and communication of various HR data points, with the objective of enabling leadership to make effective, data-driven, and strategic operating decisions.


Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, analyze, maintain, and deliver a variety of regular and ad-hoc reports to HR stakeholders, including dashboards, compliance reporting, and other metrics related to talent acquisition, attrition, diversity, and HR operations.
  • Collect and organize pieces of information into meaningful and actionable insights using visual design and infographics that enhances effective decision making.
  • Identify trends in various parts of the business based on detailed review and compilation of performance metrics.
  • Responsible for preparing key analytics for the global function’s monthly HR report.
  • Prepare presentation materials to aid in the communication of HR projects, analyses, etc.
  • Deliver reporting and analytics solutions appropriate to meet the needs of internal customers (ad hoc reporting tools, standard reports, executive dashboards etc.).
  • Ensure accuracy and data integrity of HR system through periodic review and audits.
  • Provide support for all HR processes throughout the annual People cycle (e.g. performance, merit, target setting).
  • Practice independent thinking in managing work and projects.
  • Documentation of the reporting and analysis process.
  • Perform research tasks with a view to gather data pertaining to industry, company and customer trends.
  • Evaluate pertinent data by performing a variety of task analysis and business processes.
  • Write technical reports and manuals for the benefit of end users.
  • Develop detailed reports on market research initiatives and provide ideas on how this research fits into current projects.
  • Design workflow charts and write requirements for system changes.
  • Address any data discrepancy issues across all open projects to the management.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, HRIS, HR Business Partners, Finance, and others to identify report anomalies and research multiple data sources to identify cause and correction.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

  Basic Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in a quantitative or analytic role.
  • Proficient with SAP and/or Workday.
  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Sophomore year or later, or graduate/Ph.D. program at an accredited institution taking at least one class in the semester prior to the internship program and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program.
  • Degree must be in related area of work with courses in Information Technology or Human Resources.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders
  • Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data analytics using SQL and Business Intelligence tools.
  • Expertise in statistical analysis.
  • Previous entry-level work experience strongly preferred

  • Must be able to work in an office in Stamford, CT
  • Strongly prefer candidates who live within a commutable distance
  • Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work

  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, issues, and events.
