Position Summary: 

This position is within HARMAN’s Professional Solutions Division.  The Professional Solutions Division requires a proven leader and seasoned leader to lead and drive the performance of its Lighting Solutions in the Asia-Pacific region.  The position will have responsibility for managing a high-performing Business Development team in creating new markets and driving sales performance in the Asia-Pacific region for the Division.  

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will have direct reports (Business Development Managers)


Job Responsibilities: 

• Develop, implement and drive growth strategy for Martin Lighting products for the region

• Responsible for leading, directing and motivating the team to achieve sales and profitability targets.

• Build appropriate channels for Entertainment and Architectural Lighting in APAC region

• Drive sales discipline including setting up of targets, measuring progress, pipeline reviews with partners and internal teams

• Liaise with Product Management team

• Focus on NPI (New Product Introductions)

• Manage and engage stakeholders on product certification process

• Partner product sales training

• Communicate and meet with customer/ end users if required


Basic Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline

• At least 10 to 15 years’ experience in sales management, with significant experience in leading a sales team is required.

• Expertise in developing sales strategies

• Strong understanding of lighting products and solutions, especially Martin, is desired

• A global perspective with the ability to understand and work effectively in a culturally diverse organization

• Excellent analytical and organizational skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and manage multiple projects



Preferred Qualifications: 

• Excellent written and spoken communication

• Excellent presentation skills to internal and external stakeholders.


Eligibility Requirements: 

• Willingness to travel (30-40%)

• Willingness to work in an office.
